More about the opportunity: 
The primary focus for the Project Expeditor position is contacting subs/vendors and soliciting subs/vendors by calling or emailing for projects in a fast-paced environment and document the bidding on a project. The goal is to receive 4-5 sub/vendor bids per trade. There is a required short time period from for project bids are required back from our Subs/Vendors in two-three weeks so that means calls and selection of subs/vendors to accept bid will need to be expedited in a fast and orderly fashion while still tracking who will/will not bid a given project, so they have time to review plans/specifications on a given project.

The Project Expeditor position is responsible for the following but not limited to;

  • Create ITB (Invitation to Bid) based on the scope of work provided from Estimator;
  • Create public FTP Links on Brick FTP Site from the Server Bid Project folder to send link to plans/specifications to bid.
  • Generate a mass email Select Subs/Vendors from GC Database.
  • Post a job on numerous project national distribution sites such as (Blue-Book, Dodge, ISQFT, etc.), and local plan rooms to the area.
  • Find subs via calling local area to project to increase sub bid participation from the local area.
  • Maintain Excel log of who/won't bid the project.
  • Update plans/specifications revisions received from Architect/Engineer if plans change and update for all bidding subs with Addendum documentation.
  • Call the print shop to have new plans printed/bound and then place in BCG Plan rack.
  • Continually update Sub/Vendor Database with new subs/vendors and contact information.
  • Phone calls continually with subs/vendors while multitasking.

Assist in qualifying Subs/Vendors.

  • Ensuring BCG receives 4-5 (Qualified Sub Bids) before bid day.
  • Compiling all data into the database after a bid to ensure we have subs/vendors for future projects.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Required High School Diploma or GED
  • Preferred Four Year College Degree concentration in BA
  • Experience with commercial construction industry preferred. (Hospitality)
  • Experience with using and understanding standard CSI Building codes.
  • Strong Oral and Written Communication Skills
  • Proficient Computer Skills in all Microsoft Programs (Word, Excel, Access, etc)
